SEASONAL STAFFING NEEDS

HIRING FREEZE AT THE PRESENT TIME

At various times, special need arise that require temporary employment of qualified persons to perform essential tasks within established municipal departments. While limited hiring of this sort occurs year-round, the largest number of such hires occurs in spring and summer months. Seasonal employment needs increase greatly within the Department of Parks and Recreation Applicants for so-called "warm weather" job opportunities become available on February 1, 2009. From the application pool that is developed thereafter, hiring departments conduct periodic reviews of qualifications, interview prospective candidates and fill staffing needs.

PARKS & RECREATION OAK HOLLOW TENNIS CENTER

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

Seasonal Oak Hollow Tennis staff will perform maintenance of tennis courts, Front desk and pro shop duties and other duties as assigned by Tennis Director; Positions available immediately through November 2009; Schedules to include weekdays, weekends and holidays; Starting salary from $6.25 hourly.

REQUIREMENTS: Minimum age of 18 required to operate motorized equipment; Minimum age of 16 for all other duties.
